Suches, USA

 The Y2K Tour de Grit was held in beautiful downtown Suches GA U.S.A. on October 29th. The weather was beautiful, mid 70's & crystal clear. Ben Cheatwood put on another great event, the highlight being the contribution of over $1400 to the local volunteer fire and rescue department.

The course was great, winding through 75 miles of Georgia mountains , and Britt and G.T. of the T.W.O. campground saw to it that we were well fed before and after!

 Team Calamari would like to extend our thanks to Ben Cheatwood, Britt and G.T. Turner, the Suches Fire and Rescue Department, Speedvision, the cooks and staff at T.W.O., all the riders, and, of course, "Sheriff Mac", all of whom made us feel right at home. We had a great time and can't wait for the "2001...A Grits Oddessy".

And speaking of the "2001...a Grits Oddessy," we will post the entry form on our website as soon as we receive it. Just a reminder, there are two reason for holding this event;
1. to have fun
2. to help out the Suches fire and rescue department
So, when you are filling out your check for your entry next year, add a couple of bucks, and let's get that "cookie sale" up and over $2500. Remember, the volunteer fire department assists all motorcyclists and residents in need. And they welcome motorcyclists to ride their rodes. Just being a motorcyclist and being welcome should be good for a couple of bucks. When does that ever happen!

 O.K., we know y'all want pictures so...be prepared, water cool your browsers, massive picture page follows with appropriately ugly download times. Your Choices are as follows:
