Mini Road Racing is a continually
growing sport in the U.S. One segment is growing quickly; women!
The women racers run the gamut from the totally inexperienced,
to quite experienced racers of big bikes. |
|
At most venues the women compete along
side the men. At the Northern California Road Racing series,
there are so many women participating that they not only run
with the guys, but also have their own class. The Women's Class
in Northern California averaged 15 entries per race day in 1998.
This is an incredible number of women for mini motorcycle roadracing. The high number of entries can be attributed to many factors, but first and foremost, the women have been made to feel welcome and are not treated as second class citizens. There are currently 24 women who hold NCMRRA licenses! |
| So let's start out with the Nor Cal Women Racers! |
