The following is opinion and many pix at Stockton 3.7.04

The first race at Stockton for the SMRRC was an unqualified success! Big Fun, lot's of good racing, extremely professionally run, great trophies, great weather, and much more!

TCR started racing mini's in 1986 in Texas, we have been to many clubs "1st" events, and without a doubt this was the best run event of all of the "firsts". In Fact this was better than a lot of established club's events!

Finally we have a Northern California venue where you get all the racing you can handle, leave the track in time to get home for dinner, and the smile never leaves your face! If you weren't there, come on out for the April 11th race....fun is guaranteed!

The turnout was great, right around 100 entries, and I am confident when word gets out about this organization and the track there will be many more.

The track is fast with great traction and can be configured in several different ways.

Sundays track was wide open fast and much fun! Basically we ran the perimeter of the track in the above pix. If you want to go fast, this was the set up!

For those who negociated the track a little faster than others this really cool trophy was the reward. (BTW:the trophy presentation was very professional, quick and most people were on the freeway heading home by 5:00pm! If you didn't stay for trophy presentation you were out of there by 4:30pm!!!)

Besides race pix, will try to give you a little feel for what was going on, just in case you were'nt there!

          These are the pits....
