Rob Abrams
Robbie Abrams #3

Robbie Abrams is 27 years old, and has been racing with the NCMRRA for the last year and a half. Robbie lives and works in the Monterey Bay Area, close to Squid headquarters! When he started racing YSRs during the last half of the '97 season, he was a ground magnet. Fast, but destined for the pavement! In spite of this, he won a lot and was named "Rookie of the Year" for the 1997 NCMRRA season.
TCR started sponsoring him fully in 1998. Along with sponsoring, we took him to school and he proved to be a gifted student! Beau, Dan, Jerry, Billy, et al, really put it to him. And the wonderful thing is now they all have to work REAL hard to try and beat him.
The results for Robbie in 1998, with the NCMRRA and the Can-Am West were very impressive. He finished 3rd overall in the '98 standings (behinnd Dan and Jerry) with the NCMRRA, placing second in Superbike, 2nd in 60GP, and 2nd in GP80. The Can-Am West saw him finishing 2nd to Beau in all the events. Look out next year Beau!
Robbie will be competeing at the NCMRRA 1999 Events and selected races around the country.
When we asked Robbie about YSR racing his reply was, "I've been racing total for about 5 years. The last 1 1/2 years racing YSRs have been the most fun and rewarding of my racing career. I have learned more about racing and life in general since I've been with TCR. Can't wait till '99 season when I will compete in 60GP, Superbike, and 80GP. My goals for 1999 are to have fun and earn the #1` Plate!" Well Robbie, you have Team Calamari's complete support in acheiving both goals!
