For those of you, and you
know who you are, that have stuffed all manner of engines into
your YSR....this is the place! We have seen RD400's, RM500, TZ125,
YZ125, IT175, IT125 and much more fabricated to fit a YSR. And
the one big question we get is where can I race it. Ask no more.
Iowa international Raceway in Marshalltown Iowa is the place.
Shoot off an E-Mail to the guys to find out the particulars.
Course Location:
Marshalltown Iowa approximately 2 miles north east of town.
Practice Days: Saturday dates are open for practice
or for whatever the group would like to do including possible
endurance races. Gates open 10am close at dark. Annual club membership
is $25.00. $10.00 one time number registration fee (goes to the
track) and a $10.00 pit pass which also goes to the track. (The
Iowa club has the lowest fee structure in the U.S.)This is an
awful lot of track time cheap!
Race Days: Format is three heats with "moto
cross" type scoring. Gates open at 10am, Practice at 10:30am,
riders meeting at 12:45pm, first race at 1:00pm.
The Iowa International Raceway is one of the best
YSR tracks in the USA. It is impeccably kept up by a dedicated
crew of workers. Fabulous P.A. system and announcer, the pits
are very well groomed and level! The infield of the track is
beautifully manicured grass and the track is surrounded by corn
fields (what would you expect!). The program is run like clockwork
and you get a whole lot of track time for your fees. This is
a very low key group and the emphasis is on keen competition
along with sportsmanship. There are no cash prizes or trophies,
but there is a whole lot of fun and camaraderie.

CIAYSR Mission Stement:
To add an exciting new look and sound
to YSR racing. To "Go where no Man has ever gone before".
To scare ourselves silly at every opportunity. To have unparalled
fun. And to challenge ourselves to the fullest extent of our
abilities.
